What was I thinking?

So, I've decided I look at too many blogs. I see cute stuff and it makes me think, "That looks easy, I think I'll give it a try!" Nothing is ever as easy as it looks, for me, anyway. This should have taken about an hour. Not for me! I won't even tell you how long it took.

Farewell, dear Shelby.

We had to bury Shelby today. We're not exactly sure what happened, but I think she got sick and died. She's been unresponsive and stiff for a few days now. Conner asked Matt if we were going to get Shelby out. Matt said, no, she died and won't be coming back. He said, okay, maybe in four minutes. Poor kid doesn't quite understand death yet. The kids are sad, but now they think we'll be getting a dog. Thinking that Shelby would outlive us, I told them a while ago that we could get a dog when Shelby died. Ooops. That didn't quite work out the way I thought it would!

Happy Birthday Paige and Conner!

We had another combined birthday party for Paige and Conner. It just seems a lot easier to do them both at the same time. And, let's face it, neither of them care whose birthday it really is. I can't believe Paige is 2 and Conner is 5! Where does the time go? I'm not ready for them to grow up yet!
