Sunrise in the "O.C."

Here's a beautiful So Cal sunrise. That's right I said sunrise, not sunset. Paige doesn't sleep when we are in the trailer. She was up at 4:30 a.m. That gave me plenty of time to catch the beautiful sunrise.

Conner having fun

Conner doesn't really enjoy Disneyland like the rest of us, but I did get him to smile while riding the horse. He really liked that.

I'm a little late, but here is Paige at 10 months.

Monday, November 16, 2009

Paige loves to climb onto the hearth and talk to the pictures. She looks at them and says "daddy!" Then she knocks them all over. I guess it's time to baby proof. What will I do with the Christmas tree this year?!

Daddy and Logan

Logan's Baptism

I can't believe Logan is already 8 years old. He was baptized on Halloween, I know, a little strange. We figured he will always remember his baptism date. We are so proud of him!

Nine months already!

I can't believe another month has gone by. Where does the time go? Our little Paige just keeps getting more fun by the day!

An addict already?

Paige tipped over my diet coke. Luckily only a few drops leaked out of the lid. While I was going to get something to clean it up, she discovered it and decided it was pretty good. She just kept licking the floor. Of course I had to grab the camera and get a picture. I hope she doesn't become addicted like her mother!

Grandma Thornock gave Logan his first set of scriptures for his birthday. He was really excited.

Eight is Great!

I can't believe Logan is already eight! Where does the time go? He had a fun birthday at the beach this year because it was the Woodruff family reunion.

Four generations

Wow, I'm sure having four generations of women in one family doesn't happen very often. That's why I had to get a picture of my grandma, mom, me and Paige. It's hard to believe there is a 90 year span between grandma and Paige.

Paige is eight......months that is.

Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble

Last night Parker and Logan decided to do the dishes without even being asked. Now this is a very rare if not non-existent thing in our house. They told me that they were going to get the dishes extra clean. Not knowing what this really meant, I just let them do their thing. Since the dishwasher wasn't quite full last night, I didn't start it until this morning. Have you ever seen the episode of the Brady Bunch were the washing machine has too much detergent, and it floods bubbles all over? Well this is what I found about five minutes after I started the dishwasher. I guess I'll be mopping my floors after all today.

Sittin' around

Paige thinks she is a big girl now. She can sit up for about a minute without tipping over.

Paige is seven months old!

Wow, I can't believe it's been seven months already! Where does the time go? Our little Paige is starting to have quite the personality. She is definately a girl. She screams like a girl and has attitude already. She is also very sluggly when she is tired. We are having so much fun with her. I just wish time would slow down!

Silly boys

Fun weekend getaway to Morro Bay

Just havin' fun at the beach.

These guys are everywhere!

This is a picture of one of the seals we saw. He really wanted to be fed.

Fun at Morro Bay

We rented an electric boat to cruise around the harbor. It was really relaxing.

Look what I did!

So we planted waaaay too many tomatoes this year. I was getting sick of eating them for every meal so I decided to try my hand at this whole canning thing. I got six quart jars of tomatoes and it really wasn't that hard to do. It took a while, but I expected that since it was my first time. I hope they sealed right and that they aren't spoiled in a few days. Guess we'll wait and see.

Saturday, August 1, 2009

I guess when it rains it pours. It was yet another week of frustration. Matt's dad wrecked the boat and it's a total loss with no insurance. The day Matt finally gets the call that his truck is done (five weeks after we dropped it at the shop) the A/C compressor goes out in my car. Another week of being without a car. Do you ever feel the need to cry? It's been one of those weeks. Let's hope next week goes better!

Old habbits are hard to break

I always knew I was a person who didn't like change. I just didn't realize how bad I was until I cleaned out my closet today and found that I owned six of the same shirt in different colors. Now this has been a collection of over six years, but still, I think I may have a problem.

She loves her cereal!

6 months old!

Where does the time go? I can't believe Paige is already six months. It makes me so sad. She's not a newborn anymore. She is so funny with her mouth. She looks like an old man with no teeth. She always sucks her lips in. Silly girl.

Monday, July 20, 2009

Paige is all ready for her first swim. She loved it!

Let's go Spongebob

This is what Conner was doing the other day. Riding his horse. He kept saying "Come on Spongebob". Then he would help him up on the horse and away they would go.

Monday, July 6, 2009

Here is a picture of the lavender fields I took while driving by them on our way home.

Conner really loved the horses. He just wanted to ride and ride. He likes to go fast too.

Ridin' horses

My dad brought the horses up to the mountains so we could ride. I loved it and so did my boys.

We made it back from vacation

I actually have so much to blog about I don't know where to start. I guess I'll just give a few highlights of our trip. Here is a picture of us while we were camping in Idaho. It was so fun! There were only a few mosquitos and it was so cool there. I did not miss the Bakersfield heat.

Big buffalo

This is the only picture we took on our vacation, since we never made it on our vacation last weekend. Matt got called back to do a case so we had to come home. This is in a restaurant in Santa Maria.

What? Is that a tooth I feel?

Yep, my four month old has a tooth! This is very out of the ordinary for my kids. They don't usually teeth until six or seven months. You can't see it in the picture, I just thought it was a cute picture.

Conner and McKenna

This is just a picture I took while I was watching my great-niece (WOW, that makes me sound old!) while they were here visiting from Germany. Conner and Kenna really play well together. Too bad they don't live closer!

Domestication 101

Since the summer heat is almost here, I decided Paige needed some light weight blankets so she doesn't melt at night or when she is nursing in public when necessary. I found some fabric at Walmart today for $1.50 a yard. So for three bucks I made two blankets. Their not the most perfect, or pretty, but you can't beat the price. It also gave me something to do today and it was nice to dust off the sewing machine I got for Christmas.

Just another random picture. She's use to the paparazzi around here.

Parker turns 10

I can't believe our little Parker is 10! He decided he wanted brownies with marshmallows instead of a cake this year. I thought it was a good choice. He is such a good boy and we're so glad that he is part of our family!

Yuck!

I've never met a food I didn't like......until today. Matt really wanted Sushi, so I said ok, I'll try it. We didn't even get the raw fish kind, but it was yucky. Even the California roll that most people really love was just not doing it for me. Oh well, now I can say I've tried it and didn't like it.

Four months old!

I can't believe it's already been four months since Paige was born. Where does the time go?

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Rainbow

On our way home there was a full rainbow. This is just part of it that I captured while driving in the car. It's a little dark, but it sure was pretty in real life!

Meet Slappy

Since Millie doesn't have any kids yet, she decided that her childhood friend should be in the picture. This is Slappy. Creepy, huh!

Congrats Grads!

My youngest brother and sister both graduated from USU on Saturday. I was lucky enough to get to go and cheer for them. We had a great time.

3 months old

I can't believe my baby is three months old already!

This is the one and only picture I took at Disneyland. It's hard keeping track of four kids and remembering to take pictures.

Our garden in the beginning

Babe and her bink

I know, I can't believe it either.

And the winner is.........

For any of you out there that know anything about my babies, you know that none of them have ever liked binkies. Well, being the never learn from past experience type that I am, I decided to try it one more time. I have now purchased three different types thinking one of them would work. Well, they didn't......Until yesterday. We were at Disneyland and Paige kept sucking on her fingers constantly. I knew it wasn't a sign of hunger since I had just fed her. I remembered I just happened to have a binkie in my bag. I stuck it in and she suddenly loved it. Imagine my surprise. It saved our bacon on our long three hour drive home. I'm not sure if this is a phase, or if it will really stick. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Oh yea, the winner is binkie number two.

Crazy birds

I'm sitting here reading blogs and there is a robin that keeps flying into my window. What's up with that?

Kids say the darndest things

So at Costco today I heard something cute. A mom with two little kids and a cart full of stuff was at the bread section looking at bread. The little girl who was about 2 or 3 dropped one of her fishy crackers. She asked her mom to pick it up so she could eat it. The mom said, " Oh, you can't eat it now, it's all dirty from falling on the floor. The little girl replied, "Well just wash it off then." How cute that she didn't realize that by washing it, it would no longer exist. Of course, my thinking was just to give it to her. I've done it before. Ten second rule, right? I know that is totally gross.

Random thinking

Ok, so I decided to play with my blog. I had no idea you could do so much. (Not that I changed much, but hey, I don't like change.) It just goes to show that one (me) should not be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and try something new. I thought if I played around I might delete something, or totally mess it up. Hmmm........maybe I'll start being more creative with other things. Or maybe not. Let's not get too crazy. One thing at a time.

Paige is 2 months old!

I can't believe it's already been two months since Paige was born. She weighs 12 lbs. 5 oz. already! She's grown another two inches. The doctor said she looks more like a three month old. She even slept from 11:oo until 6:30 last night. It was so nice. I hope she keeps it up!
