All grown up
No, not the kids. Me. I have always wanted to use the big saw in the garage, but it scared the crud out of me. I could just picture cutting off a finger or an arm. I got bored on Friday night and decided to give it a try. Yes indeedee. I bought the wood, cut the wood, sanded the wood, painted the wood, and made some Christmas presents for my nephews. It probably wasn't a smart idea to do while Matt and the older boys were gone, just in case I did cut something off, but I turned out fine.

The bane of my existence
This dress was a nightmare. I found it on a blog. There was a pattern, but very vague instructions. It didn't tell me how much fabric I needed, so I ended up going to the store twice. Not that I minded, cause I love to shop for fabric. When I finished, the neck was to big, so I had to come up with my own pattern and add another layer. Pain in the bum. Anyway, long story short, the sleeves are weird and it's a bit tight to get on and off, but dang it, the girl is just gonna have to wear it!

B.I.G Texas sized wedding.
This is me being "drunk" on all the juice drinks we had over the weekend.

This was the view from the window at the reception.

We had a lot of fun over the weekend. We laughed. A lot of laughing. I always have fun with my siblings and their spouses. We ate. A lot of eating. We drank. A lot of juice and diet coke. The food was pretty amazing. I should have taken pictures. It was fun having a few days without the kids, but I was really glad to get home to them and back to my normal life.
This is the bed and breakfast where we all stayed.
(Yea, I know, sideways...again.)

I have a problem....
So the problem is that I love fabric. I love looking at fabric. I love dreaming of fabric. I could spend hours in a fabric store. And I have. Anyway, I'm just not crafty enough to know what to do with it. I was blog hopping again, and I saw some cute tea towels that a girl had made, so I decided to give it a shot. They were pretty easy. I actually did two in between Parker leaving for school and when I had to take Conner. A fun project to pass the time. Try to ignore the bottom left one. It's upside down. I guess I'll be keeping that one!
