We have BIG news, people. BIG news!

No, we are not moving to Utah.  Conner lost his first tooth!  He was so brave, he just pulled it right out.  It's been wiggling for a couple of weeks, and yesterday I noticed that his permanent tooth was already growing in behind it.  (poor kid is gonna need braces)  He was pretty excited about the whole thing!

Parker

Parker decided he wanted to play basketball this year. We were all happy that he did too. It was highly entertaining. Especially some of the refs, who were overly dramatic when making calls. Of course the one game that we missed, due to a sick child and other obligations, he made a three pointer! I think he really enjoyed it, and I hope he wants to play next year.

I had some extra crafting supplies, so I whipped out this picture for Paige's room.

I made these quiet books for church. Did you know they make dry erase crayons? Well, I do now! I just printed off some coloring pages from the Friend, and put them in plastic page protectors. Voila. Coloring pages that can be used again and again.

Big Birthday Bash!

A few Pics from the b-day party.

Isn't he so cute!

I'm not sure she knew what to do.

Can you believe my baby is 3?!

This cake is amazing! Thanks Cori! Star wars for Conner, and Tangled for Paige.

Let's catch up, shall we?

How do you like the rug burn on her chin?

Yep, that Tangled doll sings! "And at last I see the light, and it's like the fog has lifted. And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new...........!!!!!!!!!!! Ha. Now it's stuck in your head too!

Oops, Santa forgot to remove the price tag, and the boys noticed!

Wes and Conner playing on the Ipad.

That's a happy face!

Paige had her first haircut. We had a fun visit from some cousins, and then there was Christmas. Where the heck does the time go?!

Hungry?

This is what happens when your 5 year old is hungry and you keep telling him to wait just a minute and you can help him. He does it himself. I'm pretty sure he ate half the box by himself. Of course, I had to tell him what a great job he did getting his cereal and milk all by himself. Even though, deep down, the milk nazi inside of me was freaking out!

Halloween

Ok, so this is a wee bit late, but here are some pics from Halloween. The older two boys were way to mature to trick-or-treat this year. (Whatever, they totally went around 9:00 when they decided they wanted candy.) They stayed home and "scared" the trick-or-treaters. Silly boys!

Logan turns 10!

Holy cow! I can't believe Logan is 10 already. Since his b-day was on a Sunday this year, we didn't really do much. We had taco Sunday, and Brian and Renee and their girls were here. I think he had a good day. We love our Logan man!

Wood....part 2

So, I had some wood left over and just couldn't let it sit there. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I made the "Scatter Sunshine" blocks. Holy cow, those suckers are huge! I don't even have a place to put them! Next time I'll scale it down a bit. :)

All grown up

No, not the kids. Me. I have always wanted to use the big saw in the garage, but it scared the crud out of me. I could just picture cutting off a finger or an arm. I got bored on Friday night and decided to give it a try. Yes indeedee. I bought the wood, cut the wood, sanded the wood, painted the wood, and made some Christmas presents for my nephews. It probably wasn't a smart idea to do while Matt and the older boys were gone, just in case I did cut something off, but I turned out fine.

The bane of my existence

This dress was a nightmare. I found it on a blog. There was a pattern, but very vague instructions. It didn't tell me how much fabric I needed, so I ended up going to the store twice. Not that I minded, cause I love to shop for fabric. When I finished, the neck was to big, so I had to come up with my own pattern and add another layer. Pain in the bum. Anyway, long story short, the sleeves are weird and it's a bit tight to get on and off, but dang it, the girl is just gonna have to wear it!

NASA

Matt, Millie, Mike and I decided to go see NASA while we were in Houston. Here are a few pics.

This robot with the golden head has fingers that can type on a blackberry. Pretty tricky.

This is a gynormous rocket. It's a lot bigger in person.

"Houston, we have a problem." Here is the control center.

The inside of a space shuttle. As you can see, you can't be very tall to be an astronaut.

B.I.G Texas sized wedding.

This is me being "drunk" on all the juice drinks we had over the weekend.

This is the bed and breakfast where we all stayed.

(Yea, I know, sideways...again.)

This was the view from the window at the reception.

We had a lot of fun over the weekend. We laughed. A lot of laughing. I always have fun with my siblings and their spouses. We ate. A lot of eating. We drank. A lot of juice and diet coke. The food was pretty amazing. I should have taken pictures. It was fun having a few days without the kids, but I was really glad to get home to them and back to my normal life.

I have a problem....

So the problem is that I love fabric. I love looking at fabric. I love dreaming of fabric. I could spend hours in a fabric store. And I have. Anyway, I'm just not crafty enough to know what to do with it. I was blog hopping again, and I saw some cute tea towels that a girl had made, so I decided to give it a shot. They were pretty easy. I actually did two in between Parker leaving for school and when I had to take Conner. A fun project to pass the time. Try to ignore the bottom left one. It's upside down. I guess I'll be keeping that one!

First day of School!

It's back to school time! Parker starts middle school this year. I think I was more nervous than he was. Logan was put in a 5/6 combo class. I guess he is a better student than I thought. I would be scared to be in with all those big sixth graders! Conner started kindergarten. I'm not sure if he was nervous or not. He doesn't show emotion about these kind of things. All I know is that it is really quiet around here!

Today's project was......

A new cover for my ironing board! It was really easy. My old one was literally falling apart. Now I have one that matches my new (and still unfinished) laundry room. And it's a good thing tomorrow is Saturday, the special day, the day we get ready for Sunday, because my house is a D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R! I know, it's sideways, but I can't figure out how to rotate the darn picture.

Craftin' up a storm

What does one do when they wake up one day and realize it's time to cut back? No more Target when I'm bored. No more lunch dates. No more Diet Coke. This is what happened to me. I pulled out the old sewing machine and scraps of material I had laying around and I went to town. Recognize the red and blue skirt? It was a dress I made for Paige a few months ago, but she never wore it because it didn't really fit right. So I chopped it in half and made it a skirt. Now she loves it! I even made matching hair clips. Now I'm exhausted.

Then I made some bags.

Millie and Mike's Wedding

Soooo.....as usual, I only got a couple of shots of my sister's wedding. Someday I will remember to use my camera. They are just so cute!
